Responsible for accurately recording audit daily totals in a timely manner, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the Audit Division of the Finance Department.
Enters daily information into Revenue Audit Report forms.
Runs back up reports.
Prepares journal entries; tracks coupons used on property; sorts and records complimentary receipts.
Reconciles assigned accounts on a regular basis.
Assists with the monitoring of all financial activities on property with respect to Revenue Audit to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the company, Federal and State Tax Commissions, and Mississippi Gaming Commission are enforced throughout the Audit Division of the Finance Department.
Evaluates various situations with respect to Revenue Audits and determines how best to handle same.
Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Maintains high-level of knowledge regarding the company's products and happenings, and communicates properly to guests; establishes rapport with all guests through name recognition.
Notifies manager/supervisor of low inventory and recommends new inventory; communicates opportunities and concerns.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by management or supervisors and moves with a sense of urgency.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures as established in the Team Member Handbook.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE :
Experience in basic audit procedures preferred.
Some college course in accounting or related field preferred.
Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Must be extremely numbers-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Knowledge of Accounting, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts
Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Good judgment and decision making abilities
Must be 21 years of age.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Some college courses in accounting or related field preferred.
OTHER:
A Mississippi Gaming Commission work permit is required for this position.

Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping.
Frequently required to wash hands and/or wear gloves.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy manuals.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
