Qualifications:
Must have high school diploma or GED; must possess a valid Mississippi driver's license. Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team player. Must possess excellent customer service skill. Must be able to work any day, any shift. Must have at least two years previous experience in landscaping/gardening with appropriate certification.Essential Job Functions:
Maintain health, vitality and appearance of all shrubs, trees and ornamental plants. Maintain and repair all sprinklers and waterlines associated with above areas. Vacuum swimming pool daily (year-round). Groom all flower beds and exposes soil on a daily basis. Assist laborers, when needed, with large jobs. Must meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:
Must be able to work in extremes of temperature in excess of 115 degrees or below 10 degrees. Must be able of hearing in the full audible range in high noise conditions and possess average vision and color perception. Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, and carry heavy loads, run level surfaces as well as up or down stairs. Must be able to lift at leas 50 pounds. Must possess coordination and dexterity to drive power sweeper, forklifts, scissors lifts and other equipment. Must be able to think clearly and respond calmly in emergency situations. Must be able to learn and retain locations, operation and repair procedures of the property's equipment.Harrah's reserves the right to make changes to this job description whenever necessary.
