Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules.
Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software, and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
Conducts training sessions, demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Requires prior technical subject matter knowledge and experience.
May administer tests.
May include military trainers.

Confers with management, employees and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring technical training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.

Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.

Trainers are expected to have technical expertise.

Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Facilitates the execution of all training programs.

Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Job Summary Obtain and maintain instructor qualifications IAW 39 lOS SOPs that pertain to Instructor Responsibilities, Instructor Development Program, course curriculum and Course Administration.
Develop and modify instructional materials (plans of instruction, lesson plans, student, and instructor handbook/instructions, test questions, and visual aids) for both in-residence courseware and/or non-resident on-line ADL courseware.
Augment and support the Government with the development and maintenance of the Expeditionary Communications curriculum.
Augment and support other instructors with Expeditionary Communications course execution and/or during course exercises.
Serve as exercise controller during Expeditionary Communications course exercises (if required).
Qualifications Associate degree with 5 - 8 years TDC or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience Secret Clearance (minimum) Associate Degree or equivalent experience Proficient in MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel Preferred Skills and Experience Instructor Methodology Course (IMC) certificate Instructional Systems Design (ISD) certificate Cyber certification commensurate with DoDl 8570.
1 m- lAT Level II Radio Transmissions Operations Specialty (1D7X1R) Significant experience in Satellite, Radio Frequency (RF) communications or Telecommunications field, preferably a mix of operational experience and developing course materials.

Experience with U.

laws, DoD policies, Air Force and ANG regulations, and NGB and state policies applicable to the processes outlined above, as well as with applicable automated systems, is highly desired.
Strong organizational skills and a confident, detail-oriented, customer-oriented, positive mindset will be a great asset to this position.

Extensive experience with tactical SATCOM (SHF) terminals (2.

Experience with IEEE cable/interface standards.
Extensive knowledge of L3Harris Falcon III products or equivalent Extensive knowledge of HF Propagation and HF systems/antenna employment Extensive experience with L3Harris Communications Planning Application (CPA).
General working knowledge of synchronous/asynchronous digital timing techniques.
Extensive experience with HAIPE bulk encryption techniques (i.
e.
- KG-175D, KG-250X, AES, etc.
).
Expert Level Understanding of RF/Satellite communications fundamentals and terminals operating in C, X, KU, and KA frequency bands.
Strong background in TCP/IP internetworking, routing, switching, VLAN configuration and troubleshooting IP networks.
Good working knowledge of Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) and Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) networks.
Thorough working knowledge of IDirect modem technologies (specifically 950 and 1050) Ability to perform complex network troubleshooting and resolve programming errors and equipment malfunctions.
