Summary:
To work as part of the preschool team and provide assistance to teacher in the therapeutic preschool program POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 21 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must have at least two years of paid experience in a licensed child care facility or licensed/accredited kindergarten program.
Must be able to work and communicate effectively with diverse groups of clients.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment Ability to work within agency mission, philosophy and policies/procedures.
Must have a reliable vehicle and meet agency driving policy requirements, including a valid driver license and proof of required automobile insurance.
Travel may be required.
General physical requirements include but are not limited to:
bending, stooping, climbing stairs, prolonged sitting of more than 4 hours.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
PRESCHOOL:
Complete all required trainings necessary for Director Designee within the first six months of hire Cover day-to-day activities when preschool teacher is absent Complete Incredible Years training programs and implement curriculum as designed Lead Incredible Years groups for preschoolers Design monthly preschool calendar Assist in conducting monthly Incredible Years parenting class Plan monthly Parent Fun Day Monitor drop off and pick up by parents or designated individuals.
Maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.
Complete daily safety monitoring of preschool and playground materials Serve breakfast, lunch, and snack to students Attend field trips with students Maintain cleanliness of classroom Maintain preschool bulletin boards CHILDCARE SERVICES:
Provide on-site childcare to residential and non-residential children as needed Provide transportation to off-site programs, school, and/or summer camps as needed Input all documentation in Vela Follow guidelines outlined in the Incredible Years curriculum.
Provide positive and encouraging support to children receiving services Inform the Children's Services Manager of any children with special needs Coordinate events with Children's Department staff Attend Children's Department staff meetings Job Type:
