5K a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Job Summary Under the supervision of the Regional Librarian, the Access Services Assistant assists the Regional Librarian in the performance of daily operations of the Tradition campus library and coordinates Interlibrary Loan (ILL) for the entire library system.

Duties and responsibilities listed are essential job functions and exclude functions which are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties.
Coordinates ILL services using Clio II and DOCLINE, to include receiving and processing loan requests from inside and outside the University, preparing accounts payable invoices, maintaining records of interlibrary loan activity, adhering to interlibrary loan industry standards, and generating loan reports.
Assists the Public Services Librarian in Hattiesburg who mails and receives ILL print shipments for the library system.
Provides support for the Regional Librarian by providing effective circulation and reference services.
Oversees evening library operations, providing circulation and reference assistance to patrons as needed.
Provides library orientations in the use of library resources and services as needed.
Assists with the training, management, and supervision of Tradition library student employees.
Assists in checking in serials and preparing them for patron use.
Assists with the collection and maintenance of library usage statistics and with the preparation of reports as needed.
Assists with the reconciliation and submission of deposits for funds collected in the library for such things as fines, fees, copies, lost books, and sales.
Monitors use of the library photocopier and printers.
Performs other duties and tasks as needed to ensure normal operation of the library.
Physical Demands Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, and to use standard office equipment including a computer and 10-key calculator Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, minor office equipment, and to shelve books Must have ability to lift and carry 25 pounds Required Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to use common office productivity software, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to learn WCU's accounting and student database software.
Ability to respect and adhere to confidentiality requirements related to student and library records.
Ability to make mathematical computations quickly and accurately.
Preferred Qualifications Staff experience within a library.
Supervisory experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
