Supervise and direct all aspects of the MGCCC Women's Volleyball Program. 2. Supervise and direct the activities of the Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach. 3. Be knowledgeable of the National Junior College Athletic Association ( NJCAA ) and Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference ( MACCC ) rules and regulations pertaining to eligibility, recruiting, the conduct of coaches, etc. 4. Recruit and supervise student-athletes with integrity and with a professional attitude. 5. Serve as an active member of the Perkinston Campus faculty team. 6. Monitor student-athletes and managers on the women's volleyball team in the residence halls and establish a regular curfew-check schedule. 7. Ensure out-of-state and out-of-country student-athletes have appropriate housing when residence halls are closed. 8. Coordinate the off-season conditioning programs for the women's volleyball team. 9. Ensure that all student-athletes in the women's volleyball program are adequately advised for academic or career/technical instruction. 10. Ensure that the classroom performance and progress toward graduation of all student-athletes are monitored and are satisfactory. 11. Work with four-year colleges and universities to assist student-athletes in obtaining scholarships after graduating from MGCCC . 12. Ensure that all practices are designed and operated to provide quality instruction and conditioning. 13. Serve as a public relations representative of the college through an active role in public speaking and other P.R. opportunities as coordinated by the College Office of Institutional Relations and College Dean of Athletics. 14. Establish, coordinate, and manage all women's volleyball camp(s). 15. Maintain the volleyball court and volleyball facilities. Address maintenance issues in a timely manner. 16. Fulfill other duties as assigned by the College Dean of Athletics and Campus Vice President. Classification Title Position Number Position Number 299457 Rank Rank Instructor Job Description The Head Women's Volleyball Coach is responsible for all aspects of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College volleyball program and reports directly to the College Dean of Athletics. Mandatory Qualifications (M1) A Master's Degree with 18 graduate hours in a teaching concentration from an accredited institution of higher learning.(M2) A demonstrated record of championship coaching experience at the state or national level.(M3) Strong Communication skills.(M4) Strong leadership and managerial skills.(M5) Three (3) or more years of experience as a women's volleyball coach. Desirable Qualifications (D1) Teaching experience at the collegiate level.(D2) The ability to conduct a quality off-season conditioning program.(D3) Recruiting experience at the collegiate level.(D4) Demonstrated competency in technology.(D5) An understanding of and a commitment to the comprehensive community college philosophy.
