Casino Service Representative - Part Time

Responsible for providing efficient guest service to all Slot guests and ensuring slot machines are monitored on a continual basis for operation at maximum efficiency.
Writes jackpot wins and notifies Casino Service Supervisor, as needed.
Handles payout of hand-paid jackpots in accordance with company policies, procedures and internal controls, as well as Mississippi Gaming Commission rules and regulations.
Responds to slot machines to resolve guest complaints and/or inquiries in a timely manner.
Resolves minor slot machine malfunctions, as needed.
Notifies Casino Service Supervisor or Director of guest needs and requests and follows up to ensure position guest relations.
Maintains slot floor security by notifying department management of any suspicious activity.
Maintains working knowledge of all local jurisdictional gaming laws (federal, state, and local) and attendant regulations as well as company internal controls.
Notifies Casino Service Supervisor of any pertinent issues, as needed.
Maintains high-level of knowledge regarding the company's products and happenings, and communicates properly to guests; establishes rapport with all guests through name recognition.
Notifies manager/supervisor of low inventory and recommends new inventory; communicates opportunities and concerns.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by management or supervisors and moves with a sense of urgency.
Adheres to responsible alcohol service established by company policy.
Understands and utilizes all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program and reports any accidents to management.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures as established in the Team Member Handbook.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE :
Money handling experience preferred.
Electronics experience and/or degree preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts
Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Good judgment and decision making abilities
Must be 21 years old.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER:
A Mississippi Gaming Commission work permit is required for this position.
Must possess strong communication and guest service skills.
Basic computer knowledge required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Exposed to weather conditions and prevalent temperature changes.
Subject to moderate to high ambient noise levels.
Frequently required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping.
Frequently required to wash hands and/or wear gloves.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy manuals.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
