Incumbent serves as a Program Support Assistant assigned to the Biomedical Engineering Section under Engineering Service.
The incumbent provides data entry, telephone support, vendor and contract support, purchasing activities, and provides maintenance contract support of medical equipment for Biomedical Engineering.
Biomedical Engineering provides repair and maintenance of all medical equipment for its customers at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System.
This position is the medical equipment customer service liaison and will provide work order information and statistics to all customers.
The incumbent will be responsible for gathering information from the customers necessary to accomplish and document work orders to provide medical maintenance and repair, medical preventive maintenance, and any and all emergency medical repairs, routine repairs, and modification of medical technical systems, and providing additional services and required pertaining to medical equipment for its varied customers at this health care facility.
The incumbent will perform work necessary to document costs of labor and materials, maintenance, services, tools, rentals, etc.
, needed for solving problems and accomplishing work processes necessary to provide new and improved services for Veteran patients, medical support services, and fellow workers.
This position will work under the direct supervision of the Biomedical Engineering Supervisor, who will provide the technical support and training required of the incumbent.
The incumbent will hold a credit card for purchasing supplies, equipment and services.
Incumbent will reconcile and verify orders according to set policies and procedures.
In addition, the Program Support Assistant will provide administrative maintenance and repair support to other Biomedical Equipment Repair Specialists located at the JACC Clinic, who support the medical maintenance routines for all the Gulf Coast Outpatient Clinics located at Mobile, Pensacola, Eglin, and Panama City, as well as the Biloxi campus, when required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
