The Housekeeping Aid will work within the Environmental Management Service (EMS) for the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System.
The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System includes the Medical Center in Biloxi, MS, and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Mobile, AL; Eglin, FL; Panama City, FL; and Pensacola, FL.
The primary location for this position will be Biloxi; however, the incumbent may be required to travel to other locations within the health care system to accommodate workload.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for performing the full range of environmental sanitation duties in critical care areas utilizing a variety of cleaning techniques, supplies, and equipment.
Use a wide variety of chemical solutions and floor care products, all of which must be handled in accordance with their accompanying material safety data sheeting ensuring that chemical material are always kept secure.
Must be capable of operating power equipment such as automatic scrubbing machines, buffers, carpet cleaning machines, industrial vacuums, etc.
Collects, transport, and properly dispose of various types of general and medical waste material.
Perform daily cleaning task, such as dust mopping, damp mopping, cleaning, patient exam areas, and cleaning restrooms.
Perform operator maintenance and ensure security of equipment.
May occasionally require travel to other facilities within the Health Care System to accommodate workload.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
