Our client is looking for a clinic manager to oversee a facility in the Gulf Coast area. The applicant must have extensive medical experience and be comfortable in a hands-on environment. Experience managing healthcare workers of all levels is highly desired.
The Practice Manager is responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating the overall operations of the medical clinic for multiple sites or specialty practices.
Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness in an office.
Assists Regional Director with implementation and development of long-range plans.
Manages front office operations to maximize patient satisfaction, patient access, maintenance of medical records, verification of benefits, timely and accurate charge entry, collection of payments (TOS), and customer service efforts.
Coordinates scheduling of staff with that of the practitioner to ensure proper coverage of patient appointments and out-of-office calls.
Supervises medical, nursing and clerical staff to ensure adequate coverage for quality patient care.
Manages the clinical staff hiring, performance management and salary administration process.
Monitors payroll system to control time management.
Maintains environment to comply with regulatory, licensure, compliance and accreditation requirements.
Serves as the first point of contact for patient and external customer complaints. Responsible to reconcile and investigate all complaints relating to practice operations.
Acts as the liaison between the clinic and Central Billing Office.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite applications such as Word and Excel.
Demonstrated business and analytic/financial skills.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proven experience in a customer service environment.
Hands on clinic experience.
Ability to shape communications to the needs of the audience.
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or related field.
Minimum 2
years practice management or practice administrator experience.
Minimum 3
years previous supervisory experience
