We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Systems Administrator. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties of the Information Technology Department.
Coordinate and manage integrated systems performance tuning across all platforms (client, database servers, application servers, network infrastructure, web servers, etc.).
Serve as Systems Administrator for company-wide Windows NT/2000 systems (including Application, Web, Firewall, and virtual servers, etc.).
Function as Systems Administrator for enterprise-wide MS servers, including primary and back-up Domain Controllers, File and Print servers, Central Application
Servers, Test/Staging Servers, Reference Servers, etc.
Participate in the installation, testing, maintenance, and tuning of all hardware and software that support gaming and non-gaming applications.
Install, configure and function as Systems Administrator for Application software systems, including Web Terminals, VPN, remote installation, etc.
Participate in development of firewall policies, unit guidelines, procedures and other technical documentation.
Participate in development of hardware and operating system components of disaster recovery plan.
Plan and document third party application systems deployment, and design techniques to facilitate implementation and configuration of systems in a network environment.
Perform all relevant systems security and performance.
Evaluate hardware and software for use in the production environment.
Determine product stability, operational impact and reliability.
Interpret technical system documentation and all vendor provided information.
Write system documentation and standard operating procedures for systems installation, operation, and maintenance.
Provide user and technical training.
Prepare systems technical and user documentation in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Develop processes for system automation and maintenance.
Write scripts and perform systems upgrades including ISeries/Wintel/Unix/Ubunti.
Serve on project teams and perform systems analysis for various company-wide hardware and software projects.
Advise other departments on implementation of departmental systems or applications.
Provide advanced troubleshooting support for IT team members.
Analyze problems to identify system and operational deficiencies and failure patterns.
Develop and implement or oversee corrective actions and solutions.
Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members.
Any and all duties as assigned by your Director or a member of management.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Minimum of 7 to 10 years of I.T. experience as a high level system administrator. Experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, and installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunication, or network infrastructure equipment. Experience with directing projects, providing customer to technical support or administering or supervising staff in information technology analysis, system maintenance or troubleshooting.
Fifth year college or university program certificate; seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Must have extensive experience with AS-400, UNIX and MS and Network/data security and firewall, LAN/WAN network and desktop computing, and P.C. based Hotel/Casino applications.
Must be able to obtain a Gaming Permit.
Excellent oral, written communication and organizational skills. Excellent ability to supervise and motivate team members.
While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The team member is frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
