Job Title: Plant Engineer
Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Plant Engineer. The Plantl Engineer must be OEM qualified to certify the calibration and programming of medical treatment facility Energy Management and Control Systems (EMCS).
Qualifications:
The Plant Engineer shall have a four (4) year degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum ten (10) years' practical experience in management and operation of large institutional physical plants and/or medical platforms. The engineer's resume must reflect verifiable experience in the primary core of mechanical engineering, with some secondary competencies in electrical systems, civil engineering and building architecture. Possessing higher level technical skills in large heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R), environmental controls & instrumentation, energy management, plant operations and maintenance is required. An Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE) Certified Plant Engineer (CPM) certification is desirable.
It is highly desirable the engineer be knowledgeable in the system architecture, logical programming and complex sequences of operations of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Energy Management and Control Systems (EMCS) such that these systems can be optimized. The Plant Engineer's resume should include their experience over the last two years where it demonstrates a higher level of practical expertise on two or more BACNet-compliant BAS systems of similar size (> 500 digital points) and sophisticated sequences of operations.
The Plant Engineer shall be able to read and comprehend drawings, schematics, diagrams, control scenarios and strategies which are associated with complicated building systems in order to identify weaknesses and flaws in design submittals, inefficient or ineffective designs, maintenance impediments, inaccurate calculations, inappropriate assumptions and potential long term cost impacts within proposed designs and equipment submittals. Should be able to rationalize the theory of operation and design intent of systems without the aid of technical drawings in order to troubleshoot, identify operational and performance issues that must be corrected in order to optimize as necessary to assure reliable efficient performance.
The Plant Engineer shall be familiar with, be able to provide accurate interpretation, and provide sound counsel concerning a multitude of statutes, codes, standards and design criteria that are all associated with institutional and medical healthcare facilities. A knowledge of DoD and government standards and criteria (i.e., UFC 4-510-01, The Whole Building Design Guide, Air Force Instructions) is highly preferred. At minimum, the Plant Engineer shall be familiar with, but not limited to, the following codes and standards: National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 70, NFPA 99, NFPA 110, ASHRAE Standards, IBC and the US Energy Code.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
