Job Description
Smartronix, Inc., is an information technology and engineering solutions provider specializing in Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Health IT, Network Operations, and Mission-Focused Engineering. Smartronix is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of technical and training products while working collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make products easier to use for the 333 TRS for Cyberspace Training at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.
Overarching Duties: Provide technical documentation support for assigned cadre. Perform Information Technology Equipment Custodian (ITEC) primary and alternate duties in accordance with applicable Air Force Instructions. The contractor shall provide the capability to audit and edit all developed products for accuracy, completeness, flow, balance, and clarity of understanding, IAW specifications set forth by 333 TRS, 81 TRG, 81 TRW, and AETC. Review, from the instructor perspective, all guidance, technical documents, and manuals to ensure they effectively enable government personnel to utilize training systems in instruction. Work with other schools, institutions, industry or government agencies ? government, Department of Defense (DoD), United States Air Force (USAF), industry, academia, or foreign government ? to identify and implement new information applicable to specific training systems.
+ Use Microsoft Office? suite of software products, perform keyboard typing, transcription of drawing/graphs etc. from hand drawn or copied documents and develop them into properly formatted electronic documents
+ Provide major or minor clean-up of documents from others, copy editing, and maintaining an electronic database of technical documents, illustrations, user guides, etc.
+ Perform online collaboration through available programs.
+ Ensure that technical documentation meets the specifications set forth by 333 TRS, 81 TRG, 81 TRW, and AETC.
+ Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation
+ Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers
+ Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions
+ Organize and write supporting documents for technical and training products
+ Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users? understanding
+ Standardize content across platforms and media
+ Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers
+ Revise documents as new issues arise
+ Perform other technical support services duties as required.
+ Perform Information Technology Equipment Custodian (ITEC) duties for approximately 2,800 assets across multiple accounts.
Required Skills
The Technical Writer position will have the following qualifications:
+ Proven working experience in technical writing of technical and training documentation
+ Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
+ Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
+ Excellent written skills in English
+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
