Full-time Certified Medical Coder Positions
Competitive Pay, Full Benefits Offered, 2 Weeks PTO, 10 Federal Holidays Off Paid, Relocation Assistance. No Nights. No Weekends. This is working on location site, not a remote position. M-F hours 7:30am-4:30pm or 7:00am-4:00pm.
Qualifications of Mandatory Knowledge and Skills:
Certified and experienced medical coder with 3 or more years experience in a medical clinical outpatient office as a coder, auditor. ICD-9 and ICD-10 for 2015 updated and current. Must have CPC certification or other required cert through AAPC or AHIMA!
Education: High School Diploma or GED. AA degree preferred, or minimum 30 semester hours in associated classes such as Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Other.
Minimal Experience: At least 5 years in medical office setting as a coder. Military experience a plus; 3 years experience in MTF.
Background/Fingerprints: Must be able to pass all background and fingerprint checks locally and with Department of Defense.
NOTE: MUST maintain all certifications, CEU's, Immunizations, BLS, other as required.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for assignment of accurate Evaluation and Management (E & M) Codes, ICD-9 & 10 diagnoses, current procedural terminology (CPT) and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), modifiers and quantities derived from medical record documentation (paper or electronic) for outpatient encounters. Trains and educates Military Task Force (MTF) staff on coding issues and plays a significant role in coding compliance activities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
