In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, SPECIALIZED
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes performing work with the knowledge of the overall mission, functions, operations, principles and processes of executive support OR any directly related experience which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-11 or above grade/level or equivalent position in the federal service. Federal Time-In-Grade (TIG) Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions:
Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the next lower grade level or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the over all mission, functions, operations and organization; and a variety of principles and processes applicable to the work operations of a military NAF or equivalent. 2. Knowledge of analytical, evaluative, planning and investigative processes, techniques and methods as applied to issues or studies involving administrative or support functions. 3. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies and precedents applicable to NAF programs and related support resources or equivalent. 4. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. 6. Ability to plan, organize work, and manage multiple taskings Other significant facts pertaining to the position:
1. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. Must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA). The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties:
however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties. generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. 2. Work schedules will be so aligned to allow the individual to function fully on unit training assembly (UTA) weekends. May be required to travel by regularly scheduled military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments. 3. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. 4. This is a designated mobility position. incumbent must be willing to move transfer to another unit/location on a lateral or promotion as directed by HQ AFRC. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
